Hi David :) It's been a while since I asked you something, haha! So I am being more adventurous with my exercises and I'm going to try out something with a barbell tomorrow. What exercises can you recommend for a beginner with the bar? Thanks!

It has been a while, glad to see you again! :)

There are many exercises that can benefit a beginner. A few exercises that are worth mastering out the gate would be, squats, deadlifts, military presses, barbell curls, barbell rows, high pulls, lying tricep extensions, and hanging cleans. Some will claim these lifts are more advanced but I say everyone needs to learn at one point. The fact is that these can be technical and form can always be altered but it takes time to get basic movements down correctly. These are some of the most effective lifts at the end of the day so work them hard!
