My mom- fitness inspiration!

Being involved in fitness and nutrition for many years allows one to fully emerge into the whole lifestyle and witness others transform their own minds and bodies. One of the individuals in my life I was lucky enough to witness do this is my mother. Despite risking having some repercussions once I see her again I will state that my mom is over 50 years of age. Now bear in mind that there exists many, and I mean many, false claims behind age-related fitness/nutrition success but my mom proved that age is simply a number.

Mom began cleaning up her diet and purchased a membership at the local gym. She picked up her own nutritional and fitness consultant who also happens to be her son and she stayed focused. Before starting her journey she was about 160 pounds at 5’5” and now she is weighing in at a lean 112 pounds. She lifts weights on a regular basis, performs cardio, eats clean, and makes use of certain nutritional supplements to compliment her diet. She keeps a positive mind and works hard, plain and simple.

What allowed my mom to see success and transform her physique was her hunger for success! She stayed determined, asked questions, made changes, worked hard day in and day out, and didn’t give up. Her success was her doing, no one else’s. The same goes for each and every other person- everything lies on you and the choices you make. My mom made the right choices and because of it she transformed her physique and her mind.

Great work mom, I love you dearly. You’re an inspiration.
