You might not decline, but you won't improve.
You may not get weaker if you quit, but you will not get stronger. You may not get slower if you quit, but you will not get faster. You may not lose endurance if you quit, but you will not gain it. You may not gain fat if you quit, but you will not lose it. Your health may not decline if you quit, but it will not improve. You can quit when you face challenges, and maybe you will remain the same....

Okay pertaining to diets. I've heard that people would have a free day once a week to spike their caloric count so that they wouldn't hit a plateau. Is this true/effective?

Cardio types and times
Cardio is a big part of getting a lean, hardened physique. And while some people don’t care for it (me included) it seems to be a requirement for most of us. But what I find is that many individuals results are not moving along as they would prefer due to the individual being confused on the details concerning cardiovascular activity. I thought I would attempt to give some information that...

I think there tends to be a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to cardio.
Working on a new post- Cardio types and times.

Nice, what do you do for back workouts?
I do a lot of different exercises for my back. The back is very complex so working it from different angles is a good way to go about it. I am known for being very consistent with deadlifting. Deads will build size and strength faster than any other lift. Deads are...
Calorie count is NOT the only aspect
Calories in vs. calories out. This is the answer that many people will give you when trying to explain how to lose weight or gain it. The idea is that we can all maintain our physiques at a certain calorie count. If this maintenance number is exceeded through calories taken in, meaning we take in more then we burn, it will lead to weight gain. Of course the opposite is thought to be true as well....

Guaranteed results, right here...
I will give you my personal guarantee that the fastest way to elevate yourself is by elevating others. Do something for others and trust in the fact that the universe will bring it back around to you. Too many people focus on, “me, me, me” and totally forget about others. Big mistake. Support someone else, motivate them, inspire them, work together, and your results will follow, I...
notean replied to your post: Getting ripped without cardio?is it true that cardio will make you loss muscle mass?
It can, yes. The problem is when people get excessive with cardio levels. Again, HIIT sessions maintain muscle mass VERY well, which is one main reason I have people focus on it.
slacknomore replied to your post: Getting ripped without cardio?
Also dont shorter brake times, or none at all in between sets speed up fat burn?
Yes, weight training can be designed to burn more fat. Heavy lifting also burns a lot of fat throughout the day; research shows more so than higher rep work.
Getting ripped without cardio?
Some people love cardio, others hate it. I think the big question seems to be, do we have to do it in order to get lean? Is it possible to get lean, hard, conditioned, without the use of cardio? Possible, yes. Likely for most, no.
Now again, I am not saying it can’t be done. In fact I have known individuals who, even when nearing contest time, barely made use of cardio. They got ripped...
To mom, and all the other beautiful people in...
While hanging out with friends and family over Christmas time, my mom made a comment about me that she “did something right” while raising me. You’re right mom, you did do something right.
Despite having a father who made fun of me for being fat, tormented me, made me feel worthless, you stood tall, and were the most beautiful mother anyone could ask for. You showed me that...
Perception is what REALLY matters.
We all face challenges, it cant be escaped. But our choice lies in the fact that we get to decide how we will repond to them. Perception is everything! You have the ability to intuitively recognize your situation in whatever way you want, positive or negative.
The next time you face a challenge, physically or mentally, embrace it as an opportunity to grow and change. Recognize the most successful...

How exactly would you say you able to take control over your mind and body? What finally convinced you to do it?
The way I took over was by making conscious choices to do the best for ME. Every move I made I decided to make it for me, and I decided to make everything my decision. In other words, I stopped making moves based on what others thought...

Your blessing
Our health and physique is something we actually have control over. Make sure you maximize this amazing opportunity. I took control over my mind and my physique and have been fortunate enough to recognize the blessing I have. Recognize YOUR blessing. Your body, your choice.
Fat loss mistake
How do people train when they are trying to strip off body fat? They typically train with higher repetitions and lower weight. This is a common method accepted as a way of burning more body fat. My belief is that this is a huge mistake.
Heavy, intense lifting causes our bodies to use up resources for the recovery process while we are resting, which means more calorie burn and fat...

Results and excuses do not blend.
You can make excuses, or you can get results. Doing both simply do not go together. The second excuses began to pill up then results began to slow down. And of course the opposite is true as well; once results began to go up there is no need for excuses.
In order to fix the issue of creating excuses part of the battle is being honest with oneself. Many times we feel as though we have...

When you are truthful with yourself, other details fall in place.
I was the reason I was overweight, I was the reason I didn’t exercise, I was the reason I felt like crap. I was the one who needed to change, I was the one who needed to take the first step, I was the one who needed to put the effort forth. Question for you, is it true that it may be counter productive to do fast paced weight lifting. By this I mean constantly moving and doing like a 1:1 movement instead of a slow methodical movement like a 2:3 or2:3 rhythm ? thanks in advance,

An open mind
I think one very important point about life is that just because we may not have the answer to something, doesn’t mean there is no answer. We grow when we keep our minds open and continuously accept new information. Fitness is no acception to this rule. Keep your mind open, and continue to grow.
