I remember a time my father made fun of me for being fat by holding up my pants and showing them to my sister, saying he could swim in them. It’s not that he didn’t know any better, actually, my father is a fairly intelligent individual and I’m sure that he recognizes the impact words have.

According to the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, 90% of Americans ingest caffeine on a daily basis. While there can be side effects associated with caffeine consumption, usually high levels, it clearly has it’s benefits when used correctly. I typically recommend a caffeine source…

I’m going to reblog some of my posts that I feel people may enjoy seeing on my page again. Hope you all enjoy!
I know one thing is certain, everyone will succeed with continual application. There are studies showing that X-amount of fails are typically produced before a level of success is met within a certain field. The same goes for fitness/nutrition related goals. If you work through the “failures” and continue moving forward you are now armed with new information that helps you reach your goal. You then try a different method. If that method doesn’t create success, you try again. And so on and so on until you do come face to face with your goal you set out to achieve. It’s a matter of continual application.
This is YOUR time to shine but you have to make it happen. Find the light within that we all have and use it to shine so bright that people notice you. Your light only gets brighter as time passes but the trick is to find it and set it off in the first place. Over time you become a powerful force that people look to for guidance. YOU become the lighthouse in the dark path that people follow. Help those people, guide them, and continue shinning bright.
Carbohydrate intake is one aspect of dieting that seems to impact many people. I have worked on many diets, and I would say without hesitation that carb cycling is one of the most effective tools. Many bodybuilders use carb cycling to strip off unwanted body fat, and it’s just as effective for…
I’m reblogging this post because people seem to like it.
I see so many blogs and posts about people stepping on the scale, and based on which way the needle faced determines if they’re depressed or happy. Get over it people! The scale is simply one indicator, one of which can be very deceiving I might add. Many factors influence our overall body weight. If you added muscle that week but your body fat level stayed the same, you are now heavier but you are also leaner. Catch that? If you retain water due to a high sodium intake, but you dropped a pound of fat, the scale may still lead you to believe you have gained weight, but you are still leaner. Got it?
If you want to make use of the scale, make sure you always do it at the same time and keep all variables consistent. For example, always weigh yourself first thing in the morning, without clothes, before you eat or workout, on a Sunday morning. That’s another point, stop weighing so frequently. Our bodies can only burn fat so quick, so weighing ourselves EVERY day doesn’t make much sense. All weighing ourselves every day will do is allow us to catch subtleties such as water weight gain.
Pay more attention to the stuff that really matters. Make use of fat calipers, the mirror, and even how well our clothes fit is a good indicator of the direction our success is going. Stop being obsessed with the scale. In my experience, it tends to be a downer for most people.
Training together definitely helps form a bond. If you have a significant other I would suggest hitting the gym together. Work on goals, hold each other accountable, support each other, and see success together! #love #fitness #inspiration #gym #FitLife #instafitness #instalove #bodybuilding

Just like in all other aspects of life, in fitness, what you believe and dwell on in your mind will become your physical reality. Visualize yourself succeeding; believe as though you already have what you’re after!
